THE HESED ASSOCIATION

The Hesed Association is formed of Christians united in respect for the Truth of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and the life and testimony of the saints.

Those in the group come from different professional backgrounds and are united by a calling to study and live according to the Word of God as revealed in the Holy Bible and in the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. “Hesed” is one spelling of a Hebrew word commonly interpreted as “God’s loving kindness,” which is evident throughout the Bible and creation.

From the 19th Century theories such as evolution, now increasingly challenged, have been used to attack the concept of God. Information technology is a key component of these and other strategies, the media being a powerful tool to influence what people believe and how they behave. The younger generation are particularly vulnerable to this. Theological training colleges promoted new ideologies and forms of criticism in the 20th Century, whilst offering little defence of the integrity of the Word of God.

The Hesed group is open to all who are united in belief in the truth and sanctity of God’s Word. Our studies have led us to reflect in depth on the words of the Bible, beginning with their original meaning in Old Testament Hebrew. This has revealed a source of wisdom which indicates our ancestors were far wiser than most people imagine, and which provides firm evidence of the integrity of the entire Bible from Genesis onwards. We have noticed how often our lines of study point us to Jesus.

We continue to explore how the truth of the Word of God defines a way of life and belief very different from world, and our continuing discussions and research are proving to offer much potential.
